Polish community in Cork

Some one who helps people to settle up!

For the last two years Cork has become incredibly multicultural. The biggest non-national community in Cork is the Polish community and therefore there is a real necessity to cooperate and help newcomers to survive in Cork. That is the reason why a group of volunteers created the Polish Centre Cork which is catering for the needs of the Polish community in Munster. It is a non-profit body aiming to share acquired information and helping people with their new life start and getting their foot on the ladder. The organization helps newcomers (especially from EEA area) or community members with employment, accommodation, learning English and settling in Ireland. The most incredible and appreciated achievement of the Polish community in Cork is Sunday Mass in St. Augustian’s Church. This is very important for Polish immigrants and Sundays see a gathering of over 800 people each helping and assisting others to settle up in our beautiful city. For those who want to learn the English language, the Polish Centre Cork provides English classes on beginner, intermediate and advanced level, so you could always learn in a friendly atmosphere with other Polish speakers.
