Established as a non-profit and non-political student organization in Cork, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) at UCC has over 100 members. The purpose of this community is to help Chinese students adjust to the new environment as well as to promote friendship, culture exchange and interactions among all students on campus. The community organizes a lot of activities to bring people together. Activities such as soccer games and basketball, Chinese New Year and Chinese National Day celebration parties could be interesting not only for it’s members, but also for those who are interested in Chinese culture, language, who are willing to make friends with Chinese students and to share their culture and language with members of Chinese community.
