Cubin's
Many a good night out in Cork finishes up in Cubin's. A reliable nightclub if what you're looking for is good music, a good crowd, and lively atmosphere. Freakscene
Freakscene was established in 1994 by Alan Fadd and DJ Chicken. To begin it featured just two DJs and had a small cult following, but it now has seven DJs and draws crowds of 400+. One of this exciting club night's trademarks is the unpredictable nature of the music, it isn't unusual for a DJ to spin some disco followed by a little Puccini... eclectic indeed. Freakscene takes place every Wednesday and incorporates three rooms: Freakscene, alternative sounds, the Blue Room, dance music, and Danasene , featuring all kinds of everything. Open 11p.m.-3a.m. Wednesday

It's a great place to grab lunch, there's a wide selection of freshly-made sandwiches from which to choose, as well as some tasty hot dishes and strong continental coffees. Patrons are guaranteed a good vantage point when viewing their favorite sports as they're shown on five screens. At night "Redz" comes alive - this is a nightclub above the bar that opens five nights a week and has no cover charge if you get there before 10:30p. On Tuesdays, Hi-Fi shouldn't be missed; it features some of Cork's favorite DJs including the ever-foxy Miss Ken D and Mr P.

Savoy Theatre
This is Cork's newest nightclub. It's got a great central location on the city's main thoroughfare and has already become very popular. The vibe is quite mellow; a lot of the music is jazz or soul orientated. It certainly seems to attract a slightly more mature crowd than the banging house and techno to be found in other venues like Sir Henry's or the Pavilion.
The decor inside is akin to an old picture house - unsurprising, as it was once a cinema. The interior is quite dark, with the only hint of colour provided by plush red curtains. A note of caution: the stairs on the way to and from the restrooms can be quite slippery, so do watch your step. Open 11p.m.-2:30a.m. Thursday –Saturday, 11p.m.-2a.m. Sunday
Address: St Patrick's Street, Cork

Yumi-Yuki Club
A fabulous Japanese restaurant by day, the Yumi-Yuki Club comes alive at night to the beat of many-a-different drum. From Monday thru Saturday there are various club nights for revellers to get their teeth into. Mondays see the kids from Revelation Sounds unlocking the mysteries of roots and reggae. Fusion on Tuesdays certainly has all the ingredients of a good night out - be sure to try a sakatini - the house specialty. Wednesdays and Thursdays are devoted to jazz with an odd dash of karaoke thrown in for good measure. At the weekend homespun DJs fill the compact dance floor with eclectic grooves from the vault.  11p.m.-2:30a.m. Monday-Saturday
Address: Tobin Street, Cork
